Heaven on Earth Society for Animals launched its Spay & Neuter Transport Service in October 2008, and to date has served over 1,600 cats. Working in conjunction with FixNation, our SpayShip drivers offer FREE transportation services to the community in an effort to help control the feral and tame cat population in the San Fernando Valley.
Founded in February 2000, Heaven on Earth is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to improve quality of life for homeless animals, particularly those who are often overlooked because of special needs and low potential for adoption. We fulfill our mission by: Placing homeless animals into permanent homes through our own adoption program and through collaborating with other humane organizations; Providing lifelong care for animals with low potential for adoption at our cageless sanctuary; and * Decreasing the number of homeless animals through our own spay/neuter transportation program and by providing information to the public on the importance of having their pets sterilized and referrals to assist them in doing so. The formation of Heaven on Earth was brought about by the need to draw attention and support to those homeless animals that are often overlooked by the community due to their low potential for adoption. These feral, sick and elderly animals deserve a better quality of life just as much as "adoptable" animals.
